We already work according to the guidelines of ISO9001, however we have now decided to take the full step into the processes of ISO9001 certification. Looking back at 2011
The year 2011 has been an exciting year for us. Here are some of the highlights:
-  In the beginning of the year we received two awards, and this gave us a positive energy boost that lasted throughout the year.
-  We have successfully generated large quantities of unique antibodies to a wide range of different applications, to customers around the world.
-  Due to the higher demands of our antibodies during the year, Capra Science went through with an expansion of the facilities, giving us twice the capacity in antibody generation.
-  Our organic farm received certification to further promote animal health and well-being.
-  A new website was published a few months ago, which made it easier for our customers to receive more information about our services.  
-  At conferences and meetings during 2011, we have made many valuable contacts, found potential partners and started new projects. It has been very nice and inspiring meeting you all on these occasions.

Looking ahead

Capra Science's farm is certified and strictly follows the EU organic regulations that are set by the European Council of Agricultural Ministers. The certification grants that animal health and well-being is promoted and that the specific behavioral needs of animals is guaranteed. No pesticides or other chemicals are used that can affect the environment or the animal health in a negative manner. We strive to have the best animal keeping, which in turn promotes strong immune systems and ultimately leads to high titers and great antiserum quality for our customers.

For many years, Capra Science has been well-known for generating high-quality, high-titer goat antiserum. Now, for the first time, we have a special offer regarding our custom goat polyclonal antibody service. Orders that come in during November and December, will automatically receive at least a 5% discount on the initial 10-week immunization program.

Due to the increasing demand of goat antibodies, we have now expanded our animal facilities during 2011, in order to provide spacious winter shelter for twice as many animals as we have today. The rare goat breed at the Capra Science organic farm has proved a success in antibody production. In comparison to competitors, our goats have shown to be extremely well suited for the purpose of antibody production in terms of antigen-specific antibody yields. This has been conveyed to us by many of our customers.

Capra Science founder Dr. Lovisa Hessle Bergman has received another award for her achievements with Capra Science. This time from “Gösta och Anna-Birgit Henrikssons Fund” through the Swedish Agricultural University in Alnarp. Jury motivation: Capra Science successfully generates polyclonal antibodies without compromising animal keeping, ethics or environment, and at the same time contributes to keeping the southern Swedish countryside alive.
